This project is about the challenges facing the NHS and how these manifest themselves in A&E departments. The project was shot in the Royal Gwent Hospital, Newport. On average, this A&E department sees a new patient every six minutes and thirty seconds, every single day of the year. Like most A&Es that have to cope with additional stresses from the reduction of services elsewhere in the NHS, the department is under constant pressure to perform despite the limited numbers of staff and resources that they have.
The Wales Universities' Officer Training Regiment is an organisation that students can join whilst at University in order to experience the culture of the Armed Forces, and where the Army can nurture leadership skills of individuals who will be encouraged to go on to attend the Royal Military Training Academy Sandhurst after graduation.
A selection of my photography ranging from documentary to advertising. I switch from working on my own in a traditional, one camera - one lens way, to shooting complicated international campaign shoots for brands. Often working to concept brief, with assistants and lighting, whilst working along side a creative director.
